The two-party system is an illusion.

The ideas that matter most aren’t bound by our politicians…quite the opposite actually.

What matters are natural rights, individual sovereignty, and limits on government power.

John Locke argued that legitimate government exists to protect our life, liberty, and property. Government derives its authority from the consent of the governed, and when it betrays that trust, the people retain the right to resist it.

Somewhere along the way, we forgot that very fundamental.

Locke in Liberty is where I share my love for American history and the enduring ideas of liberty and sovereignty, in the hope that we can reconnect those principles to the culture that once carried them.
